The Port Chalmers Seafood Festival , set at the Port of Otago, is iconic for showing off local seafood cuisine and the seaside town which welcomes over 90 cruise ships every summer, and was the birthplace of New Zealand’s export meat trade.
Run by Locals for the community
The Festival is completely run by local volunteers who have worked together to create a professional festival that is fun for the whole family. Its roots are in the community it serves and in 2015 the festival returned over $20,000 to West Harbour and wider Dunedin community groups.
